About Carol

Certified experienced guidance

A practitioner since 1991, Carol welcomes students from all walks of life who are curious about yoga and would like to take care of their health and wellbeing.

She combines the perennial wisdom of yoga’s philosophy with a full-spectrum practice grounded in functional anatomy, the energy (subtle) body and beyond.

Collaboration, warmth and intuition are at the heart of her teaching; she encourages inquiry, autonomy and the natural unveiling of each individual’s inner guide.

On this path effort never goes to waste, and there is no failure.” – The Bhagavad Gita

With 20 years’ teaching experience, Carol has contributed to teacher training programmes in Cambridge and London since 2008. Her focus encompasses yoga’s wisdom teachings, ethics, access, pranayama, meditation and specialist courses in restorative yoga and yoga nidra.

She offers CPD (Continuing Professional Development) days and trainings for teachers, online courses and workshops and audio courses.

A lover of silence, she has an appreciation for meditation and the subtle practices of yoga, having spent time on extended retreat in India, Europe and the UK, and noted the positive impact of this on everyday life.

I liked the personal touch, and the time we were able to spend exploring the details – all the smaller movements that we don’t normally have time to do – no rush. I have learnt a great deal and yes, there are many things that will be incorporated into both my own practice and teaching. There was so much to learn (and unlearn!) about some of the ‘standard’ asanas, and which ones to perhaps avoid, or certainly adapt for certain physical conditions. Carol has a unique ability to teach with calmness, integrity and knowledge, but without being intimidating or making students feel inadequate. This is important!” – Beverley

“I was lucky enough to have Carol as one of my teachers during my own yoga teacher training. She has a particular talent for making yoga philosophy seem relevant and interesting. Her lovely way of teaching makes me feel safe and cared for, and her deep understanding of the teachings of yoga is gently and generously shared. I have taken part in many of her online classes this year, and have always, without fail, felt calm and grounded after each of them. I look forward to joining her for more online classes in the future” – Pam
